Shawn, Gina & Family-Finally

We have been trying to schedule this shoot for about a year now. When Shawn & Gina moved out to Maine it looked like it would never happen. We had planed on shooting their small wedding last December but rain and some other issues prevented that. Thankfully I was sent out to Maine for some work related training and this shoot came to be.
The little ones were great fun and the beach really helped them lighten up. Gina told me they had absolutely no family pictures so it was a pleasure to capture some really genuine moments. I had a blast with you guys-thanks so much!

Isles of Shoals

Last Sunday we took a sight seeing cruise out to the Isles of Shoals. They are a set of small islands off the coast of New Hampshire. We had fabulous views of the bridges, lighthouses and Navy Yard from the ship. We were also able to stop off at one of the islands for about one hour. It was super fun exploring Star Island. There is a beautiful old hotel there as well as many adorable little homes. It was a great experience even though we both got a little sun burnt. Note to self, next time do not forget the sunscreen!

Old Orchard Beach

We drove up to Old Orchard Beach in Maine during our New England stay. It is a fun little beach town with an awesome pier and beach side amusement park. Too bad it's past the summer season and everything is closed. They still made for excellent pictures though!

Once upon a time....

......we lived in New Hampshire. We were lucky enough to spend some time back in our old stomping ground this month. Portsmouth is such a fabulous place. It was nice to come back and visit with our good friends Alex and Charlotte. We showed them all the best the area has to offer and even found the time to squeeze in a couples session. They've been married for three years, but would easily pass as newlyweds. They are just as in love now as when they got married, perhaps more! They are such a sweet couple. We had a blast walking around downtown with them. The cobblestones and cape cod style homes were such a fabulous backdrop.

New England Excursions

Fort Mcleary is just outside of the quaint little New England town of Kittery, Maine. It has an excellent vantage point of two of the area lighthouses. It is also, as the name implies, a cool old fort with nifty buildings and bunkers. We got some awesome shots this day. The clouds and lighting were absolutely perfect. We stopped at a spot in New Castle, New Hampshire on the way home to get the last fabulous shot of the cute, colorful little houses reflected in the water. It was so much fun being back in New England. We love this place!

The Simple Things

A few weeks ago we went for a walk around Lake Cuyamaca which is up in the mountains near Julian, CA. It was the perfect place to let Carson roam freely. We got some fun pictures of him playing in the weeds there. The simplest things really do keep kids occupied. Those weeds were fascinating!
