Some Quick Turkey-Day Tips!

A little Photo fun from our table arrangement!

Here are a few delicious pointers for your Turkey-Day!

Sides

Candied yams: Make them with fresh yams, you will never use canned again. Promise.

Mashed Potatoes: Use evaporated milk for richer taters'. I find red potatoes are yummier all around too.

Stuffing: Boil the neck meat from you turkey, shred & add to the mix, you won't regret it!

The Bird

If you cook in a bag the bird takes much less time to bake. This also results in a much juicier turkey!

Silly little fact; stuffing both ends=more stuffing! We like stuffing!

If you have decided to be daring and deep-fry your bird this year; be prepared for wonderfulness. Though your waistline may be unhappy with you later on!

Pies

We love pies, who doesn't? Some quick tips for extra-delicious pie!
Apple:
Replace 2 of the apples with pears for some extra sweetness!

Before you cover the pie a quick squeeze from a fresh lemon over the filling for a faint tartness!

Pumpkin:
Skip the "pie mix" for the straight pumpkin filling, the recipe on the back is good but make sure to use some allspice in there. A little *extra* nutmeg doesn't hurt either!

I always recommend you whip your own cream for pumpkin pie.
Toss a 1/2 tsp of vanilla to the cream before tuning on the mixer-you'll love it!

We would like to wish all our clients, friends and fans a very Happy Thanksgiving. We have had a wonderful time capturing memories for all of you. We have grown so much this year and couldn't have done it without you!
