Nimitz & Crystal's Engagement

We recently spent a wonderful afternoon with Nimitz & Crystal. They are very fun, outgoing and great to be around! We cannot wait for their August wedding. It was a semi-challenging shoot. They had some super cool ideas for their session involving friends and bikes. Nimitz loves to ride his bike and one of the extra special shots has everything to do with that! In fact, that one is so special it's not even ready for release yet!

We started things off at their house in Mira Mesa for the bike photos then scooted over to La Jolla Shores for the sweet sunset photos you see below. After that we headed to one of their favorite places, Extraordinary Desserts. Yum, yum!

It is a beautiful thing to capture the love between two people, and these two are about as cute as you can get. We will blog more later, but until then please enjoy these pre-Christmas teasers!

Dj, Alison & Bella Holiday Portraits

Our July 3rd couple wanted a fun holiday session at the beach with their dog Bella. Who were we to say no?

Mark & Jo Holiday Portraits

We took a walk around IB with these two back in October for their 2010 Holiday portraits. They are such a CUTE couple! We spent some time on the beach, under the pier and on the pier. They came prepared with a blanket to sit on for watching the sunset and Mark's family heirloom ukulele. We tried to incorporate the ukulele into as many photos as possible since it is so special to Mark. We were happy that Mother Nature provided us with such a beautiful sunset to end the evening with. You couldn't have asked for better weather!

Sunset After the Rain

We've had some weird, wet and wild weather here in San Diego lately. On the last day of September we had the most gorgeous sunset though. After two days of rain, thunder and lightning the skies parted to reveal a picture perfect sunset and a rainbow. John ran down to the beach to shoot some quick pictures and we just had to share them!

Steve & Morgan (Part One)

We shot this destination wedding at the gorgeous Hotel del Coronado back in July. Steve (AKA Bud) and Morgan came all the way from Texas to be wed in the Crown City. These two were so much fun to be around. We shared a lot of great laughs with them and their equally fun wedding party. Morgan looked absolutely stunning in her elegant dress. The hint of eyelet on the top was the perfect summery touch for their beach wedding and Bud's linen suit fit the occasion and his laid back personality so well.

It was a scorcher of a day and the Coronado Beach was absolutely packed with people, but the lovely ladies from One and Only Events braved the sun's rays and saved the perfect spot. When the time came for the ceremony there was a gathering of onlookers sitting on the rocks to watch. It just goes to prove that everybody loves a good wedding! So without further ado, here is Part One of Steve and Morgan's big day!
